Abstract
Primary Renal Osteosarcoma is an extremely rare but aggressive type of tumor. To this date, only 28 cases were confirmed and reported, the last being in 2014. There are no unique clinical features of the tumor compared to other primary renal neoplasm. Due to its rarity, there are limited data for the management but a multi-modal approach is preferred to increase the survival, using resection with tumor free margins, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This present study reports a case of a 65-year-old female who came in with fast- enlarging mass in the right abdomen which eventually caused abdominal pain. The patient underwent Radical Nephrectomy, Right with Adrenalectomy Right. Histopathologic report reveals a tumor type consistent with Extraskeletal Osteosarcoma of the Kidney. Few months after, patient’s condition deteriorated and despite all efforts, various circumstances lead to the patient’s demise. If there was no reported case from 2014 up to this date, this case will be the 29th case of Primary Renal Osteosarcoma in the whole world.
