Toronto is the most populous city in Canada and the provincial capital of Ontario, located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario in the heart of the Greater Toronto Area. The Eaton Centre is Toronto’s most popular tourist attraction with over 52 million visitors annually. The city facilitates transport with its Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). The backbone of its public transport network is the Toronto subway and RT, which includes three heavy-rail rapid transit lines and a mainly elevated light metro rapid transit line that runs in Scarborough. The TTC also operates a network of buses and streetcars.
